Senior Strategist, Paid Search

Fluency Media is seeking a full-time Senior Strategist in Paid Search with a strong background in PPC. The ideal candidate can talk non-stop about their SEM expertise and keeps up-to-date with the latest search developments. Experience managing PPC campaigns for mid- to large-sized brands and previous agency experience is a plus!

The Senior Paid Search Strategist is responsible for leading and managing the execution of PPC campaigns and strategies to help achieve client goals. This position plays an important role in the development and growth of the paid search team.

If you love to dissect online metrics, are thrilled to test PPC copy/creative to find optimal performance, and can demonstrate specific expertise in AdWords, Bing Ads, and Google Analytics, we’d love to hear from you! This position is open to local and remote candidates.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Function as the paid search expert
  • Plan, manage, and execute paid search/Pay-Per-Click campaigns, including account setup, strategy development, organization and management
  • Responsible for ongoing optimization efforts to meet campaign objectives, such as daily management of campaign budgets, bid management, negative keyword strategies, ad creative, and landing page revisions based on performance history and the client’s objectives
  • Produce scheduled client marketing reports
  • Analyze campaign results and develop ongoing strategy and tactics for those programs
  • Meet with clients in-person or remote to provide recommendations, insights and overall program information
  • Understand clients’ businesses, target customers, offerings, positioning and messaging, and other factors that impact their overall sales & marketing efforts
  • Monitor client-competitor initiatives
  • Identify new opportunities as well as develop strategic and tactical plans for search accounts and create proposals
  • Gather industry research for strategy development and optimization
  • Provide information as needed to sales team on prospective client opportunities 

Requirements:

  • Experience in managing large scale (~$10k/mo), complex paid search campaigns for medium to large-sized brands
  • Extensive experience in using Google Adwords and/or Bing Ads
  • Extensive experience in utilizing web analytics for PPC such as Google Analytics
  • Extensive knowledge of SEO and PPC best practices
  • Experience with attribution modeling, remarketing, goals and tag manager
  • A high level of competence with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Strong analytical & communication/problem solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Enthusiasm for exceeding customer expectations and strong relationship-building skills
  • Strong client and team leadership qualities, being a though leader on PPC industry topics
  • A Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in Paid Search 

Preferred:

  • Google certification: Fundamentals, Analytics and Adwords certification
  • Experience with healthcare and/or hospital marketing
